This work is a combination of live performance and video performance. It uses the body as a medium to explore the cognitive issues of "self-existence" in contemporary society. Deconstruct self-existence between image and reality. The performance itself is creating the magic of the current moment. When the projection ends and the performance stops, the “ghost” will disappear.

Specific to the material of "body", the real body of the performer touched her projected body in the video, causing its own existence to be considered. As a result, the "presence dualism" previously possessed by "me" in this work began to be challenged. From this perspective, looking back at Plato's “the four elements" theory as the composition from universe to human body, you will find that the traditional Logocentrism is deconstructed. The body is no longer a subsidiary existence, but the being itself. In a sense, I think this is similar to the perception of existence in Zen and Oriental culture.

Taking the "body" as a symbol, using an oriental Zen-style performance, metaphorizes the existence of the self, the dissolution and unity of the “ghost of the self” in multiple copies and technologies. In addition, instead of using the originally planned installation and live performance, the final work will be viewed on the website in the form of a film. This can be seen another layer of explanation to this theme.

 

Here the ghost is me. Since I've been asked to play myself in a film which is more or less improvised, I feel as if I'm letting a ghost speak through me.

It is a matter of dissection of the "self" that precedes not only via every relation to the other but via every identity of the self.
