Flowing Light   窗与光

The lattice window is one of the common architectural techniques in ancient China. The carvings on the window

lattice are historical elements with great characteristics. They have the changing form and the inner meaning, which is of great research value. This is why I started to be very interested in ancient Chinese window grilles.

The window symbolizes the light, initially as a demand for people to bring light to the interior space. The sunlight through the window lattice, gradually moving as time pass by. In the passage of time, the window becomes a channel connecting the history and present, the changes of light and shadow has included countless time and the flowing of life and stories.
